Remember back in October, when I said this:
if you hunt around YouTube, you can also find A LOT of amateur footage of left-wingers assaulting peaceful Trump supporters. I'm concerned that if the next election cycle is as polarising as this one, we might end up seeing a Thailand-style civil war.
Well, we might not have to wait. See, during Trump's inauguration ceremony, this prominent white-nationalist and Trump supporter got attacked by some Antifa dickhead during an on-the-street interview.
"So what?", right? Well, notice the gleeful tone of the woman presenting the video? Apparently, this incident became the catalyst for an online philosophical debate about when violence is justified, and whether it's a good thing when "Nazis" get punched; with a lot of prominent lefties deciding they were a-okay with this. Here's the cast of Stranger Things giving an acceptance speech at some awards show (listen to the bloke, but keep your eye on Winona—WTF?)
Unfortunately, the problem with promoting the idea that "it's okay to punch Nazis", is that there's a bunch of dickheads on the far left, who view the world like this:
So, when a prominent Trump supporter was booked to speak at a university in California, of course a bunch of angry lefties showed up to protest … and of course, a bunch of far-left dickheads showed up and whipped the protest into a riot.
Remember years ago, when the Tea Party held that rally, and marched with their guns and bibles, while chanting about how Obama was a communist muslim who wanted to turn the sovereignty of Yankland over to the UN? I thought that took the cake. But apparently, the political left over there has somehow found a way to do them one better.
And now, of course, there's a movement afoot to treat the far left with the same ridicule and contempt that the religious right has been getting for years. The idea behind the Kekistani movement is that—since far left nutters are always claiming to be standing up for the rights of oppressed minorities against the "white capitalist patriarchy"—people who oppose them should form their own oppressed ethnic minority group, which the far left should—by rights—be obligated to defend. Of course this is a pretty basic and juvenile form of mockery, but it'll be interesting to see what sort of legs it has.

Why are you supposed to be paying attention to France?
And yeah, some of my alt-left or socialist friends are shitting me to tears with their outrage, which I've already mentioned. I might join the centre-right just because they are offending me LESS right now.
Stay strong, comrade. I've notice a few lefties trying to distinguish themselves by promoting terms such as "classic liberal" and "non-regressive left". After all, the last thing we want is for the crazies to completely take over the brand.
And France is having elections in … April? While not predicted to win, French Pauline Hanson is currently ahead in the polls, and climbing with every terrorist attack; and her closest rival has just been hit with a corruption scandal. If she gets in, it could be the death blow for the European Union.
Yeah, I expect the EU to break up now. It will be interesting to see what follows.
Well, if Britain goes (which is still not certain) and France goes, my best guess is it'll either split up entirely, or devolve into a situation where you've just got Germany bossing around a bunch of weaker economies.
So... pretty much like it is now? ;)
Pretty much, only more so.
