Day 90: Hey there, Sunny …

… Good t'see ya again mate. Wasn't sure y'were comin' back there for a while, 'ay.

Anyway, I'm goin' t'bed, 'cause I'm fuckin' knackered. Haven't slept in two days, and I've gotta work over the weekend AND THEN I'm going bush. … Provided it doesn't fuckin' rain again.

Have a good one.

Day 89: Raining cats and dogs

How's the weather where you are?

Day 88: Handy

Day 87: Askew

Fun fact: If you stare at something long enough, the human brain can start to "correct" stuff that doesn't look right. In order to combat this, a lot of artists like to "flip" their work periodically. In the old days, you'd hold it up to a mirror. These days, most good drawing programs have a dedicated "mirror" tool. Sometimes, even that isn't enough.

Day 86: Harpie

Meh.

Sunday, 26 March 2017

Day 85:

I decided to shake things up tonight by not drawing a hairy monster.

Saturday, 25 March 2017

Day 84: Gutted

Hanging out with the tribe for the grand final weekend, and everyone is in shock this evening after Queensland's loss.

The boys watched too, along with my parents and brothers and sisters-in-law, but I didn't have time to draw everybody.

As a side note, NAB Bank ran an ad throughout the game, with a little girl "living her dream" by being invited onto the feild to play in a footy match; and at the end she says something in her adorable little-kid voice which I swear sounds exactly like: "NAB, laundering money." Fuckin' weird.

Day 83: Giraffe Continued ...

What? It takes a lot of time to draw an animal that big. Just be glad I'm not drawing a whale or something, eh?

Thursday, 23 March 2017

Day 82: Who can honestly say they don't like giraffes?

Even weird, fucked-up-looking ones like this.

Wednesday, 22 March 2017

Day 81: Another Quickie

Got visitors here again at the moment so I had to be quick with this, but I've had this bloke floating in my head for the last day or so. Weird, eh?

Tuesday, 21 March 2017

Day 80: Troll

Apparently, when I doodle mindlessly, the most common outcome is hairy monsters.

Monday, 20 March 2017

Day 79: Better things to come. Hopefully.

I don't know why I've been so tired lately, but anyway, I fell asleep at about 6:30 this afternoon and woke up about ten minutes ago. So I've quickly sketched down a reminder of a weird dream I had, and will (hopefully) elaborate on this in the days to come. God, I almost feel like I need to apologise, this is so rough …

Day 78: Not even a pretense

I'm not even going to pretend to put in an effort tonight. I'm just going to go to bed.

Saturday, 18 March 2017

Day 77: Dream Journal

This week on Landline, the feral pest from across the Tasman that's become the scourge of graziers nation-wide. We look at the curse of the weresheep and what some stock-owners are doing about it.

Friday, 17 March 2017

Day 76: Hmmmph

Well, this turned out considerably worse than I'd anticipated. I thought I was on a bit of a roll too.

Thursday, 16 March 2017

Day 75: Little Witch

I really didn't feel like drawing when I sat down to do this, but within five minutes I was really into it. Funny how starting is often the hardest part of doing anything.

Wednesday, 15 March 2017

Day 74: Vamp

Didn't turn out exactly like I wanted, but I don't think it's terrible.

Tuesday, 14 March 2017

Day 73: I'm crap at imagining mechanical stuff

Next time I want to draw futuristic weapons or armour, I'll have to remember to use some sort of reference.

Monday, 13 March 2017

Day 72: Another Quickie

I'm reasonably happy with this one as well.

Sunday, 12 March 2017

Day 71: Not bad for a quickie

I only had two minutes to spend on this tonight, but I'm quite pleased with the results.

Saturday, 11 March 2017

Day 70: WA Election

What will the sand gropers do? Stay tuned for intermittent updates (I've got visitors here tonight).

Friday, 10 March 2017

Day 69: Unbearable Title Pun

I have visitors here for the weekend, so I had to do this quickly—which is a shame—because I wanted to take my time with this one. I think it's a charming idea.

Thursday, 9 March 2017

Day 68: Oh, shit.

Couldn't get into the rhythm tonight, which is why this turned out so awful.

Wednesday, 8 March 2017

Day 67: Metamorphosis

This turned out looking a little bit like something out of the Berserk comic.

Tuesday, 7 March 2017

Day 66: Wendy

I'm on the fence about Wendy, but at least she's a step up from yesterday's effort.

Monday, 6 March 2017

Day 65: Nana

Yep, phoning it in tonight. … What? I'm tired.

Sunday, 5 March 2017

Day 64: The women's cricket season ends

And the Aussies beat the Kiwis for—like—the 18th year in a row.

Saturday, 4 March 2017

Day 63: Meh

Not overly pleased with this one, but it'll do.

Friday, 3 March 2017

62: Satisfied

This one has a few glaring errors that I don't have time to fix, but I'm pleased enough with it.

Thursday, 2 March 2017

Day 61: Happy

After everything I said about spending more time on sketching, I got caught flat-footed tonight when the display server on my computer crashed. However, as far as quickies go, I'm quite pleased with this one.

Day 60: It's not much, but it's a start

It isn't the prettiest barbarian that's ever been drawn. Hell, it's not even the prettiest barbarian I've ever drawn. But it's still a step up from some of the shit I've posted this year.
