Day 176: Something's rotten in the kingdom of Arabia

A little while ago, Squib asked me if I had any clue what was up with the blockade of Qatar. I didn't, but the other day I heard that the Saudi king has just shuffled the line of succession to the throne, in order to favour one of his sons, who is apparently a really ambitious up-and-comer. I find it hard to believe that the two events are completely unrelated; unfortunately, since I don't know that much about internal politics in the middle-east, I can't say for sure.

However, I did have the idea for this map, which I thought was kind of interesting. But again, I don't know how relevant it is.

Yellow is Iran. Red is Saudi. Orange is where the two are currently fighting proxy wars.
