Hey I just saw that too. Got an email from Mr E saying they are thinking of 'putting the band back together' almost 10 years to the day TSSH was 'forced' off the airwaves. He mentioned Caz and another name I didn't recognise... I have yet to know where it's going to be at, but it made me google around and I went to TSFKA to have a look. Great to read Persey's update.
I've been good. Finished OITNB tonight, will go and have a read of your posts now...
So Mr E said he emailed you but seems your e address has changed. He said he wants us 'involved' but I'm not sure about that. For time reasons but mostly for "I don't know what it's going to be like" reasons. Eg if there is going to be lots of calling people cunts and being really mean about people, then I'm not interested. And that was what it was originally like, but also there were really funny non-mean elements. They were the bits I liked. I'm not in the business of shredding people... And I'd be surprised and even less interested if that's what they are wanting to resurrect, especially considering what happened to one person they targeted. Your thoughts? Maybe email is better to discuss...
"especially considering what happened to one person they targeted"
What happened?
I don't mind shredding people, so long as it's the right people. Rupert Murdoch, Gina Renehart, Andrew Bolt, Tony Abbott, David Cameron, Barack Obama, the people who print women's mags, the international banking community, fear-mongers who peddle out the spectre of terrorism and child-porn for ratings or political advantage, P.R. hacks who shill for the American military/intelligence industrial complex, any journalist who pretends to be "up in the air" when they're sitting on a helipad somewhere, I can go on — these are people who should be called cunts at every opportunity.
It might show a lack of maturity on my part, but even at my age, I find the idea of bad-mouthing authority figures appealing. Actually, I think it's healthy for society that lowly shit-kickers openly display contempt for those running the show. I think that's what I liked most about the old TSSH — at its best, it was like a souped-up Media Watch. But what I'm not interested in is attacking little nobodies who write crappy blogs that nobody reads. *(Insert self-referencing joke here.)*
I don't know in what capacity I could be involved with a reboot, other than as a reader, obviously; I think this place is a pretty good testament to the fact that I don't add up to much as a writer. But anyway, if you'd rather talk about this over email, I've just made another inbox with Yandex, so I can keep this discussion separate from anything to do with my own blog here. I'll drop you a line from it, and you can pass it onto Mr E, if you like. I do have his Gmail saved somewhere, but I'd have to look for it. And yes, I killed my old Google account when I started getting uncomfortable with the progression of their data analysis technology. Now I only use them for Youtube and Blogger (and I'm always looking for an alternative to Blogger); email, search, etc, is done through various other services.
