Death Race 1975

In the interest of having another go at lightening the mood around here, I thought I might talk about films for a bit. Actually, one film in particular.

Does anyone miss this kind of hand-painted poster art?

 If you haven't seen it, it's a cheaply made sci-fi satire from 1975 that pokes fun at American culture, politics, and attitudes towards entertainment, violence, and celebrity. If you've ever wondered about my sense of humour, well, this is the kind of thing that puts a big stupid grin on my face every time I see it. And I've seen it plenty over the years.

I was originally planning on doing a review of sorts; but I've been writing sentences for about 15mins now, and everything just sounds like a big pile of pretentious wankery when I read it back. So instead, why not just watch the bloody thing, if you haven't seen it:
