Ended up sitting through Rage's New Year's Eve broadcast. Very '90s heavy.
Which reminds me, is anybody else bothered by how '90s heavy "classic hits" radio is getting nowadays? Of course, if you don't spend a lot of time on building sites, you may not have noticed.
I worked and got home at 11pm. Hubby was practically comatose but survived to watch the NY fireworks (we have a view out the back) and he was in bed five minutes later. I sat up another hour watching TV and fiddling online and went to bed too.
Did have a nice day on Monday though - went to the beach (a 90 min drive) and got our toes wet in the freezing Southern Ocean and generally enjoyed each other's company. Sat out in the sun or an hour in the middle of the day and didn't even get sunburnt (yay for actually using sunscreen).
Sounds like you really made the most of NY day. Having gotten frustrated with Rage, I ended up spending the day watching classic music videos on Youtube, in a "too tired to sleep" zombie state.
The highlight of the day was finding a comment on a pop song from the '80s which read:
Wow, a pop star with all her clothes on, and WHO CAN ACTUALLY SING! You old people are so lucky to have lived in a time when such things existed.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
What did you do, Suze? I enjoyed a quiet night at home in front of the telly. Wasn't much on once the cricket finished though.
Now I can't sleep. Might pull an all nighter.
