I didn't see it, just the kids. I didn't see the first one either, but I did take them to see "Rogue One", and I thought that was an absolute cluster-fuck of a film. Sister-in-law reckons the new one is also a mess, story wise.
Hmmm, to me, Rogue One felt like a film by committee, with a whole bunch of checklist items smooshed together in a way that just didn't gel. Also, the flow of the story felt disjointed and unnatural.
New one must be pretty crappy if it's way worse than that.

I thought Rogue One was fantastic, but clusterfuck is a good way to describe The Last Jedi

Not so much bad as just a lot of set pieces rolling into one another plus half an hour wasted on Luke's hermit life.
