Day 245: ZFS

I'm too tired to do anything tonight, so I just thought I'd write a little bit about Open-ZFS. ZFS is the best file-system going at the moment. It checksums your data, which allows it to automatically detect damage, failure, or other forms of corruption; and it's able to mirror your data across several HDDs at once, effectively maintaining consistent automatic backups. Unfortunately, it's not available on Windows, and I dunno what's going on with the Mac version; so you need to be using Linux, FreeBSD, or Illumos, in order to reap its benefits.

I ♡ ZFS. It makes my life so much easier.
