So, Kate & Kate from The Katering Show are debuting their new show in about ten minutes. This time they're supposed to be taking the piss out of brekkie news shows.
Well, that was depressing. That style of comedy works when you take a farcical situation and play it reasonably straight, but they ruined it by taking their performances way, WAY over the top. I don't think I cracked a smile throughout the entire episode. Sigh.
You can find The Katering Show on Youtube. I quite liked it—but this new thing takes the old formula and turns the dial up to "just not funny anymore".
I watched two-thirds of the first episode. I get that Morning TV is ripe for satire but this made me cringe. It almost felt like they knew it was lame and put on brave faces anyway

I have no idea - never heard of it but by the sounds of it, haven't missed much
